On 1st of January on the other side of Persian Gulf, the StarPeace ambassador in UAE, Hasan Ahmad Alhariri, and his team from Dubai Astronomy Group were assisting local inhabitants to observe the sky.

More than 150 members turned out this 1st Stargazing party, it was superb event,

• Observing Moon , Venus , Mercury and Jupiter conjunction .
• Observing Moon, Venus, Jupiter and Mercury by telescope
• Identifing constellations, north star
• Observing passing satellite (Hubble Space Telescope)
• Observing some deep sky objects, M42, M45 and M31

Special thanks to all who have participated in this event, specially to our members.

This event was in cooperation with Star Peace Organization, we had sync coversation on phone from Iran Qashem island, this was very special occation : 2 countries and once Sky, first activity in IYA2009
