Feb 09, 2009 in India

The StarPeace event between India and Pakistan on Feb. 9, 2009, was a great success. There were 70 children and some teachers and parents were included.

The program started at 13.45 UT. Internet connectivity was not established. After introduction session students saw an animation of how this penumbral eclipse occurs by a LCD projector and understood the basics of the Eclipse.

They were much exited when I told them that the children from SOS Lahore are also doing the same thing.
At 14.30 UT When the cell phone rang from Pakistan every one were eager to listen. I talk with Hassaan Ghazali from Pakistan and one child Babu also talked with the him. That was the great moment.

There were endless questions and queries from the children. I had to promise them for one more program in near future and only then we close the indoor sessio.

From 15.00 UT there was a star gazing and lunar observation by a telescope and really it was a wonderful program.
In this program Mr. Dube, Miss Neha and other SOS staff gave very nice support. Mrs. Rasila and Son Nishant and KAAC members, Mr. Aswin and Manoj Pai also gave nice support. Great thanks to Mr. Ghazali and SOS Lahore.
